"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Philippians 4:6)
In this verse, Paul gives us the cure for worry and anxiety, and it is very simple: prayer. What is amazing is that Paul said these words while he was in prison. Paul is telling us not to worry or be anxious while he is in chains! We may not be in prison like Paul, but we probably worry about many other things in our lives. And sometimes, personal pain, suffering, and sickness can also cause us to worry. During these times, it is important to know that we are not alone. Jesus is with us through His Spirit, and for that, we can rejoice and pray to Him through these times. What is causing you to worry today? Write it in a prayer to Jesus and replace your worry with the peace He offers.
