We are at war. Satan is trying to make us fail. He doesn’t want us to have a relationship with God. He doesn’t want us to talk to God. We are fighting a battle for the world against an enemy we can’t overcome on our own. We need God on our side in this fight. How can you fight a war without communicating with your commanding officer? Through prayer, God offers us protection from the Enemy. Prayer is a powerful weapon. Prayer covers us from danger; it gives us strength when we need it, and it helps us stand firm against the Enemy. On our own, this is a fight we can’t hope to win, but with God on our side, there is no way we can lose.
